The Desk

The Desk is my new personal blog. Looking back, for a couple of years I created a new blog design almost every summer, and the following year I used it to express my thoughts and support creative writing. I relied on the WordPress platform for that. Now I rely on my own platform, so it could be wilder.

To be clear from the beginning, I am not using AI to write blog posts. These are all my personal thoughts. I use Grammarly to check grammar, as I find it very helpful for improving my English. I do use AI extensively for programming. I am not a professional programmer, but with AI assistance, the code looks clean and works. Most importantly to me and the end-users: the apps meet the requirements.

I first came across the idea of The Four-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss back in 2013. Since then, I’ve been trying hard to reach that goal or even get close. Since July, when our 11-month-old Oliwia arrived, the traditional work routine has taken a backseat. I’ve realised that my life priorities have changed dramatically, and now I focus more on being present for my wife and our daughter. I truly enjoy being a dad. Out of respect for our situation, I’m dedicating all my available time to my family. So, the idea of a four-hour workweek is back in my life, and it feels righter than ever before.

I truly enjoy having my own platform to connect with you. It allows me to share about projects, my hobbies, or customer stories (always respecting NDAs and customer secrets). Now, my customer stories will be quite different. Since I can't dedicate myself full-time to projects, I’ll be sharing stories from the talented freelancers I work with to deliver them. This is a new and exciting approach for me. I manage my business by guiding strategic delivery and overseeing projects through the URUflow app - my special platform for both personal and work management. This experience will help me unlock my top strategic talents in Gallup/CliftonStrengths like never before. I eagerly look forward to sharing stories about the challenges, successes, and happy customers or end users, especially for those incredible, lightning-fast apps.
